Exodus 15:23-25
New American Standard Bible 1995
23 When they came to (A)Marah, they could not drink the waters [a]of Marah, for they were [b]bitter; therefore it was named [c]Marah. 24 So the people (B)grumbled at Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 Then he (C)cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him (D)a tree; and he threw it into the waters, and the waters became sweet.
There He (E)made for them a statute and regulation, and there He (F)tested them.
